Labour Day Weekend: Cycling
Friday 30 August – Monday 2 September 2019
Experience cycling on the quiet roads around Shawinigan, with routes ranging from 44 to 116 km over flat farmland and hilly terrain. Pedal along a quiet bike path in the forest, or tackle a longer route through the Mauricie National Park that includes several climbs and descents and offers beautiful scenery and stunning lake and forest views. Stay in downtown Shawinigan and discover a city of history and culture with interesting restaurants and riverside walks at your doorstep, and a region overflowing with places and sites to explore.

Accommodation: We will be staying once again at the Auberge Gouverneur (www.gouverneurshawinigan.com), an excellent location for exploring the town and as a departure point for cycle day trips. All rooms have two beds, a minifridge, TV, air conditioning and a telephone. Hotel guests have access to the swimming pool and gym.
Cost: $290 for members. Non-members must add their $25 membership fee.
Includes: 3 nights’ accommodation double occupancy and a welcome party. Breakfast available in Restaurant Pacini at your cost.
Transportation: By carpool with a cost of $35 per passenger paid to the driver at the start. $10 carpool fee for drive and cycle from the hotel.
