Labour Day weekend
Thetford Mines, QC
Friday 31 August – Monday 3 September 2018
Thetford Mines – a new destination for RA – is the perfect base from which to explore the little-known Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec. The surrounding area, with its sloping farmland, rock outcroppings, and quaint villages, offers dramatic views at every turn. Even though the Chaudière-Appalaches region has no flat roads to speak of, it offers routes of varying length and difficulty accessible to most.
We will offer at least 7 routes varying from 33 to 108 km and going out in all directions from Thetford Mines. Most of the routes include all or part of the interesting 24 km bike path linking the five former municipalities that now make up Thetford Mines. Aside from this bike path, which is fairly easy, the routes range in difficulty from moderately hilly to very hilly. Most routes leave from the hotel.
